WinTrade 2018 Gala Awards

At the Westminster Plaza glamorous guests gathered for the highlight of WinTrade Week at the Gala Dinner & Awards hosted by the fabulous Yvonne Thompson CBE.






Afternoon Tea at the House of Lords

Baroness Verma hosted a splendid afternoon tea in the Cholmondeley Room of the House of Lords, as part of WinTrade 2018 organised by Yvonne Thompson CBE. 

Pink Shoe was thrilled to participate in this exciting week






A vibrant group of female founders from around the world gathered on a gloriously sunny afternoon on the Terrace as many business ideas and opportunities were exchanged.


Inspring Female Entrepreneurship at Arbuthnot Latham


Pink Shoe Ambassadors were delighted to be hosted by Arbuthnot Latham for a seminar and reception on 'Inspiring Female Entrepreneurship: Closing the Enterprise Gap’ 

Guests were warmly welcomed by Liz Bottomley, Head of Private Banking, who got the evening off to a great start with her insights into entrepreneurship and the exciting opportunities for UK and global entrepreneurs. 



We then heard from the eloquent Pink Shoe Founder Helene Martin Gee; followed by a passionate talk from Jill Pay on the dynamic progress of the UK Economic Blueprint for Women and its brilliant group of 100 volunteers, Team EB.








Ruth Lea CBE shared expert insights into the economic outlook and positive outlook for growth; offering a refreshing perspective as she outlined the many opportunities that Brexit can bring.

After the inspiring speakers, Pink Shoe ambassadors and distinguished Arbuthnot guests were in excellent company to network over delicious canapés and Champagne.

The event was a huge success and our sincere thanks to Arbuthnot for their amazing hospitality; and all thanks to Georgina Badine of Arbuthnot Latham and Diana Chrouch of Pink Shoe for making it happen!



BoardAble Session II


The second session of the BoardAble Spring programme was led by Vanda Green and enhanced with expert input from Patron Sarah Anderson CBE along with James Grieve and David Holmes from the Cabinet Office.

Delegates gained top tips from Sarah on what to expect from a panel interview and how to succeed at putting together a succinct CV and supporting statement. 


James shared information on the wide scope of public appointments and how to get started, while David gave us a unique insight into board level recruitment processes.


We then heard from Jill Pay on dressing for success and the magic of the jacket, whilst Helene Martin Gee reminded us of the benefits of strategic networking.
