Creating positive footprints

Women & Enterprise APPG Report Launch

The Women & Enterprise All-Party Parliamentary Group launched its comprehensive report on the future of female entrepreneurship at the House of Commons with an event supported by NatWest and Dell.

Many Pink Shoe Ambassadors contributed to the 'Pathways to progress' report across the wide range of areas it covers, including Jill Pay and Rebecca Hill on data; Noreen Cesareo on International Trade and Jacqueline Winstanley.

The group's excellent Chairman Craig Tracey MP welcomed guests, then we heard from the inspirational Julie Baker and the equally inspiring Clare Vyvyan from Dell.

Penny Mordaunt MP, Minister for Women and Equalities as well as Minister of Defence, gave a passionate speech on female enterprise praising the work of the APG and the report itself.

Connecting Places Reception

The annual reception for Connecting Places was held on the House of Commons Terrace.

Pink Shoe founder Helene Martin Gee joined the event along with the Earl of Erroll.

Chatham House Gender and Growth Initiative

The 2019 Chatham House Gender and Growth Conference was another huge success with a packed agenda and speakers from around the world.

This year's theme was 'Shaping the Future We Want' and as always it was brilliant organised by Stephane Dubois and her team.

Pink Shoe Aperitivo

Our regular Aperitivo informal drinks and networking evening was a lovely event with a great turn out of Pink Shoe Ambassadors and BoardAble alumnae along with some new faces.

As it was 4th July we raised a glass to the flag and our many US friends!

We were especially delighted to welcome Sheetal Mehta Walsh, founder of Shanti Microfinance and a Dealmaker with the UK Global Entrepreneurship Programme.

Sheetal was the very first Pink Shoe Ambassador back in 2007 and is now Senator-at-Large for the Pink Shoe Senate.

Diana Awards 2019 at the House of Lords
