Creating positive footprints

Women and Enterprise at Parliament

Craig Tracey MP, Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women & Enterprise hosted two excellent events on Monday 12th September.

Firstly, a fascinating panel debate in a committee room.

This was followed by a reception in Portcullis House sponsored by NatWest to launch their recent report on female entrepreneurs.

Keynote speaker was Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Caroline Dinenage MP.

Members of Pink Shoe joined other distinguished guests from as far afield as New Zealand and the US.

The Earl of Erroll joined us for the reception and visited the stands where successful female entrepreneurs highlighted their businesses. Guests were able to sample fabulous chocolates and admire wonderful leather bags!

Ambassadors' Luncheons

We hosted two summer luncheons this year in the splendid Terrace Pavilion. The food was beyond excellent and each lunch was a delight in the engaging company of our fabulous ambassador members.

The lunches are an excellent opportunity for members to spend more time in conversation, a very popular move which worked well.

FSB initiative for Female Enterprise

At the House of Commons, Pink Shoe ambassadors along with founder Helene Martin Gee joined the FSB for a debate on female enterprise.

A panel debate was followed by interactive discussion, including Baroness Burt, Baroness Kramer and Baroness Verma. All of whom actively support and encourage women in business and also Pink Shoe's work on the UK Economic Blueprint for Women.
